The PAFYC organization is a private company specialized in the comprehensive organization of world-class sectoral trade fairs.
The company was founded in 1991 by Patricia Acosta, a professional in organizing trade fairs, and Cornelio Overgaauw, an expert in packaging.
During the year when the PAFYC organization was founded, it created ANDINA-PACK, International Packaging Trade Show, the point of convergence for transformation, processing and packaging technologies, which has become a referent in the region. Its origins date back to a technical cooperation project between the European Union and the Andean Community of Nations, which was carried out between the years 1988 and 1991 by European experts who concluded and recommended the creation of an event that would arrange for technological coordination and exchange among members or the packaging supply chain and packaging.
